How Do They Stack Up?
In recent years, many congregations have started to have a need for Stackable Chairs For Churches. Gone are the days of only meeting in the main sanctuary on the long, hard pews. More and more meetings are occurring in Fellowship Halls and meeting rooms that work best with a portable and stackable chair. Budget is usually an issue with church groups, but there are many different options for affordable and durable stackable church chairs.
The first option is the classic metal banquet style chair. It comes in array of colors and price tags. The Hercules model, a popular one with many churches, starts at $28 and goes up to around $35. It has a base of about 18.5" and is generously padded. Other amenities include a pouch on the back of the chair as well as a book basket. The frame is covered by a limited lifetime warranty and also has the ability to be linked together with other similar chairs. This same chair also comes in a 21" wide version for added comfort where it counts most.
Another popular model is the contoured plastic stackable chair. Church Seat, which can be found on the web, makes a variety of colors with an attractive price tag of $25 per chair. The benefits of this chair is its weight which makes for an easy set up and clean up. It isn't padded, but it has been rated as highly comfortable because of its seat design. For a slightly higher investment, a mesh stackable chair is available for around $40 per chair. Some consumers have found this material to be more comfortable.

Modern design has also worked its way into the mundane world of stackable chairs. Materials like aluminum and teak have been found in several attractive models available. Many contemporary congregations have embraced these designs with much approval from their members. Euro Style makes a stacking teak chair that sells for roughly $120 per chair. The price tag is indeed higher, but the aesthetic is leaps and bounds more appealing than your average banquet chair. Whether function or fashion is the ultimate goal, there are many options available to churches of all sizes. Making the best decision for the group will depend on on budget, style and comfort issues.
